HAPPY DAY! For Chaplain Capt. Kwon, joining the Army was about answering a calling greater than himself: serving Soldiers wherever the mission takes them. While deployed, chaplains provide more than religious support. They offer counsel, resilience, and a steady presence during the toughest moments far from home. Whether in the field, at training, or overseas, having someone Soldiers can trust matters. Forward presence isn't just about combat power, it's about taking care of the force. #3rdInfantryDivision #PeopleFirst #ArmyChaplainCorps #usarmy #ROTM

It's always a good day when we get to recognize Soldiers for their hard work, dedication, and continued commitment to the mission. Recently, forward deployed leaders, Soldiers, friends, and teammates gathered to celebrate promotions and reenlistment across the formation. Even while deployed, taking time to recognize achievement, leadership, and commitment remains an important part of who we are. Congratulations to our newly promoted leaders and to the Soldier who chose to continue serving alongside their teammates and the nation #3rdInfatryDivision #Armystrong #PeopleFirst #ROTM #promotion #reenlistment

On this day 81 years ago, Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division helped liberate the town of Bad Reichenhall, Germany, bringing an end to tyranny and restoring hope to a region long under oppression. Today, Dogface Soldiers continue that legacy, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and determination of those who came before us. Through remembrance ceremonies and commemorations alongside our partners and allies, we reaffirm our commitment to the values they fought to defend. From the mountains of Bavaria to wherever freedom calls, the Marne Division stands ready. Rock of the Marne!! #3rdInfantryDivision #ROTM #WWII #liberation81 #NeverForget #STRONGERTOGETHER

TODAY IN MARNE HISTORY On May 4th, 1945, as the Third Reich crumbled, Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division drove into the Bavarian Alps and captured one of the most iconic symbols of Nazi power—the Eagle’s Nest overlooking Berchtesgaden. Perched high above the valley, the Eagle’s Nest had been built as a retreat for Adolf Hitler and served as a powerful propaganda image for the regime. Under the command of General John “Iron Mike” O’Daniel, Marne Soldiers advanced through steep, heavily defended terrain, clearing enemy resistance and securing key positions throughout the Obersalzberg area. Along the way, they also seized Hitler’s nearby residence, the Berghof, further dismantling the Nazi leadership’s foothold in the region. The capture of the Eagle’s Nest came in the final days of World War II in Europe, symbolizing not just a tactical success, but the complete collapse of Nazi command and control. For the Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division, it was a defining moment—one that underscored their relentless advance from North Africa to the heart of Germany. From the sands of Africa to the peaks of the Alps, the Rock of the Marne left its mark. 💪 #ROTM #3ID #Marnehistory #scoreboard #usarmy
