Team members from our 3D Systems’ Berkeley Lab recently hosted an open house for an engineering class led by Professor Hayden Taylor at the University of California - Berkeley, highlighting emerging technologies and applications in the additive manufacturing industry. Jesse Enrique Ramirez was also highlighted during the event, presenting collaborative work between 3D Systems and UC Berkeley’s Space Technology and Rocketry (STAR). The project focused on the development of a liquid rocket thrust chamber, directly additively manufactured in Inconel 718 (Ni-718).
