RIO Collection
Integrate and Morgan studios worked together to create RIO, a collection of chairs and tables that integrate 3D printed elements. For example, it is the backrest of the chair that has been printed in 3D in 24 hours from a liquid resin or polyamide powder and a mathematical algorithm. The result is a piece of furniture that combines craftsmanship and new technologies, impossible to make otherwise. The same principle applies to tables where part of the base has been printed in 3D.

Together with @ICON3dtech and @NASA , BIG has today announced Mars Dune Alpha–a 3D-printed habitat, designed by BIG, that will aid in long-duration, exploration-class science missions.
Giving form to the future of Mars habitation, Mars Dune Alpha’s analog missions – part of NASA’s CHAPEA program – will provide valuable insights for NASA’s space food system, as well as physical and behavioral health and performance outcomes for future space missions. The 1,700 square-foot structure, located at Johnson Space Center in Houston and 3D printed by ICON’s next-gen Vulcan construction system, will be home to the crew of which NASA is now actively seeking.

Concept CAR - Interior Car seat by Me

This is a conceptual design proposal where @olsson_d3sign and I have worked together but with distributed tasks. Our vision and strategy for this vehicle was to design a car that has a consistent style that balances between high-tech methods and our natural resources, The nature.
For a more pleasant and harmonious impression of the interior, we agreed on to laborate with earthy colors with not so high contrasts. The seat which I designed has a clearness with distinct lines that contrast with the organic pattern. I really believe in using the natural structure for a more rigid construction and to be surrounded with organic compositions in the long run, which gives a positive psychological impact. With that in mind I have translated it into a usable product which fits into the high-tech society we live in today. Generative design is the same as less material which is something we both think is beneficial, especially for a vehicle which has lots of components. Some parts of the seat will be produced by 3D-printing as the backrest and seat cushion, which can be something other than fabric, for example a biocomposite material. The chair body rests on a cone for this rendering scene but will be more uniform into the car body itself when we have compiled all the parts.

Project: SYNTHETIC APIARY
Bee Cube / Pneuma
A highly curved 3D printed object was provided as a substrate for the honey bee colony to build upon. Even on this complex substrate, the preference of the honeybees to construct parallel comb can be observed. This experiment verified that the colony would accept a 3D printed foundation, laying the basis for future experiments with printed substrates.
