New Projects - Teasers
Here’s a quick look at a couple of new projects I’ve been working on. One explores the relationship between people and the city, while the other is a series of micro-shorts featuring four different elementals.
I’ve also been experimenting with new filming techniques and color grading along the way. Excited to share more soon!

Do Androids Dream? (VFX Breakdown)
It’s sad that not only is AI taking jobs from animators and VFX artists, but now those same artists feel the need to defend their work and to prove it was actually created by them and not a prompt.
For years, VFX and 3D artists have been mistreated. Insanely long hours. Deadline crunches. Underpaid. Their work pushed to the very end of the credits while most people have already left the theater. So many filmmakers stayed silent and treated VFX as an afterthought, until AI came along which is extremely unfortunate.
Here are a few breakdowns from my Do Androids Dream? project showing 3D tracking, lighting, rigging, texturing, and shader work, along with compositing. It’s been a real pleasure learning to craft these scenes and although it’s nowhere near perfect, I am happy because I made it and not a prompt.
Zero generative AI used.

We used Autodesk Maya for the CGI, Boris Syntheyes for tracking real footage, and After Effects for grading and other effects. Did some markerless motion capture as well.

The Last of Us - Fan Project: Had an awesome time working on this project. However, working outside in winter weather was not ideal and unforeseen changeups can always arise. Luckily I had a great group of people who had my back and can’t wait to work with them again in the spring! Here’s a look at @cellardoorglamgore amazing hair and makeup.
