News Story: Ignorance is a pandemic more dangerous and deadly than Covid 19.
Because we haven’t learned from history we are destined to repeat it. And we are.
It is a felony offense to willingly inflict someone with a deadly virus. There were gay men thus charged in the mid-80s. I don’t hear any Republican or Democratic public policy makers championing charging Covid deniers with a felony. They will now.
There is a civil war going on in this country. The artillery is a deadly virus. Every Covid denier, every greed-driven profit motivated business owner, every politician ordering people back to work or not ordering stay at home orders is guilty of attempted murder.
We need to stop relying on a public health approach. It isn’t working and won’t. Changing human behavior takes time and training. It would be developmental cruelty if a Kindergarten teacher treated children as if on day one they should know what behavior norms happen in the classroom. No Timmy it is not ok to scream in side a building. We use our indoor voices. Save that for the playground.
Across the planet, we asked/ordered people to their homes. The vast majority (82%) of non Fox News and Fake News Trump lovers are legitimately frightened that lifting stay at home orders could kill us. How different is this from Hitler ordering people to concentration camps and gas chambers? I see no moral/ethical distinction.
We leaned from Anthony Fauci that washing our hands, wearing a mask, gloves, PPE and social distancing are the weapons against the spread of this enemy. Now a group of Social Entrepreneurs is adding a weapon. 3C:Consumer Confidence Certification will be the world class disease prevention standard that facilities will earn when they get trained /certified and commit to best practices. I’ve already lost a father in-law to Covid. It’s time this virus is put to death. I loathe Covid.
