…prepping my hair for another week and another round of chemo! Allow me to demonstrate. The hair must be damp and loose so that the cold-cap doesn’t stick to my hair and give me 3 hours of brain-freeze. Here we go again…

Hey, I rode a bike today! Life felt normal for a change.
I haven’t been on a bike in months…today truly was a milestone for me. I was like, what cancer?
I gotta do this more often!

cleaning up my studio in anticipation of yet another addition to the family :)
Good Morning, y’all! This is what chemotherapy looks like today.
Note the “Cold Cap” affixed to my noggin. This cap is designed to minimalize hair loss over time during treatment. It feels like I’m wearing a beer cooler.

How did I spend christmas morning? In a hospital bed reading comics. A pretty funny comic at that. Relying on the healing power of laughter today! Merry Christmas, y’all.
“The Ambush Bug stocking stuffer” was published in 1986 by DC comics. Hilariously irreverent. Ambush Bug was one of my heroes. Even with the comics code authority in place back then, they did some humor that would probably get cut nowadays.

Meet Duke!
We adopted him a few weeks back. He makes things better around here.
Big ups @northbrooklyncats for making it happen. No prolonged exhaustive screening process, no crazy questionnaires to determine if I’m a replicant. They made themselves very accessible and found a perfect match for us in no time. I would recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a kitty.

Act 1, Scene 1:
Enter Stage IV.
…Cancer.
I really don’t know what else to say about that right now, so I’ll say this instead:
I extend my gratitude to everyone for their efforts, their contributions, their support and most of all for their words.
I never realized how many lives I’d affected and inspired over the years. Never gave it a single thought. That’s just Chombo’s way.
I’m proud to say I made a difference.
I can live with that - and I will. You’ll see.
Big ups @kingkogbrooklyn for setting up the gofundme. The link is in my bio for the time being.
Thanks for reading. I’ll post updates along the way.
