Stop burning us out protest rally 6/10/22 . Thank you to all who promoted the rally and attended it. This week is incredibly overwhelming, the support has really been incredible. We are heartbroken that so many have lost their livelihoods in this disaster Photos from 2 photographers: @sh_00tz all black and white images @ellenblairphoto all colour images

We are organising a demonstration in relation to the fire in Cathedral Buildings this week which has affected a variety of creative industries and small businesses. We want to highlight the increasingly hostile environment for artists and creatives in the city centre. This is not just our current situation as the artists of Cathedral, we are just the current victims of a much wider problem of corporate development and regeneration that is prioritising profit over creative community and the soul of Belfast city centre. If you are able, please come to our gathering this Thursday at Buoy park from 6:00pm onwards (it's late night art! #tbt to shit night art @array ) to join us in mourning our building's losses and the greater losses that have been happening to creatives in our city for decades now. We encourage black clothes/funeral garb attire and cheap flowers for our little funeral. Placards if you have time, though we will supply some. Ultimately your presence is more vital than anything, so please just come as you are if you can. We love this city and we want to stay. We hope to see you there and appreciate your solidarity at this time. Poster @ellymakes

It is with a heavy heart we announce the closure of the 343, this decision hasn't been taken lightly by anyone on the board or directly involved with the organisation. The artist studios in the city centre have been closed and Richard Bailie has taken over the OG building where he continues to work with local bands. We are so proud of what we have achieved over the life span of the organisation for Queers in our city, from the events we hosted to the incredible work of raising and redistributing over £15k with the mutual aid during the pandemic. We want to thank anyone who has ever been involved, attended or visited the building it was such an uplifting experience for the last 5 years but we feel this is the right time for us to part ways, we will leave the social media up and all posts that have been shared will be slowly unarchived to serve as a reminder of the incredible times we had. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support and love we won't ever forget this time we shared together, or the projects that grew out of our base in East Belfast. team 343 💕

Relaunch coming soon! We are so excited that after working away behind the scenes we are going to be relaunching the 343 website alongside a small calender of events very very soon. We are working on a whole new branding for the 343 hence the empty feed but we will be bringing back all of our incredible event posts and posts that mean so much to us at the 343. Keep an eye out for the new site 👀👀 We would love to hear from you guys what kind of art events you want to see us host and facilitate in the coming months so please feel free to slide into our dms In the meantime we are still fundraising for our Mutual Aid fund and as always that will be linked in our bio #the343 #343mutualaid #the343artiststudios
