Island TV’s @nickysaysyolo experienced Hell’s Kitchen during its South Florida run at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, highlighting a production where music, movement, and storytelling come together with intention.
Inspired by the life and artistry of Alicia Keys, the show follows 27-year-old Ali as she navigates love, ambition, and self-discovery in New York City.
Island TV spoke with Assistant Dance Captain Starmarcae Bain, a Bahamas native, who shared what the show represents and what the role of dance captain means to her. She also broke down the demands of Camille A. Brown’s choreography, describing it as both technically challenging and essential to driving the story forward.
The standard is high, and the result is a performance that resonates well beyond the stage.

Family…
I am truly grateful that some of my wonderful family members, the people I hold dearest to my heart, were able to visit me recently on tour. Yes, tour life can be difficult, but being such a family oriented person myself, I’ve found the hardest challenge to be the separation over long periods of time from the people I love the most.
Even though we’re in quite literally different countries, they still show up and keep me afloat on this journey, in so many ways.
Everything I do is to make them proud and I’m so happy that they got to see me perform in a dream show that both I, and they have prayed for me to get.
Shoutout to my family…the real ones…the people that make this bigger than just me.
I thank you and I love you all dearly❤️
