We are thrilled to share Skeleten (@skeleten.wav )’s new album ‘Mentalized’ today— a rich sonic universe of hypnotic yet emotive electronic indie music. He also shares a new video for the track ‘Raw’, out now.
Where his 2023 debut ‘Under Utopia’ celebrated a world of hope and beauty, ‘Mentalized’ explores the struggle that comes with that pursuit, asking: how are we pulled away from ourselves every day?
Skele says of the new album:
“Around the time I started playing around with this record I was thinking a lot about emotion and embodied wellbeing in the world atm... Myself and my friends struggling with varying success to resist the commodification of mental space and honestly reconnect to ourselves...”
“There’s so many people telling you how to hack your brain... I was also getting pretty into eco-panpsychist ideas... Mentalized isn’t ‘about’ this stuff, it’s just the music that comes from working through it.”
