“Hannah in Green” - 2025
On July second I drove this painting down to Connecticut to live with Hannah’s mom, Kristin. When I arrived, she handed me a mezcal Negroni and sat me in her back yard under a magnolia tree. The air was thick, and we laughed as it grew dark. We missed Hannah together. I felt right at home.
I consider this painting unfinished.
Happy (belated) Birthday to my beautiful gnome girlfriend! You continue to charm me with your elvish manner. You are a true partner and dearest friend and I hope to linger in your Christmas magic. I am so very lucky to know you and to love you. Cheers to another year and to many more.🎄✨🐀

This is the first picture I took of Hannah the day after our first date. I tried to sneak this photo in between bites of French toast.
Shortly after, she took me on my first ever winter hike.
Now, even more “firsts” in CO.
It’s been three years now I find myself thinking about that first week a lot, and how much we have grown. Thank you for your time and patience and please let me have more :)
