â a founder and strategic brand consultant (a fancy way of saying âbrand builderâ).
Iâve been building businesses since I was 16. My journey started with selling marked-down makeup from Coty and Rimmel on eBay. At 17, I launched âDiosa The Label,â a bandage dress business selling quality dresses from China on eBay and Instagram. By 20, I transitioned into KB Artistry, a thriving makeup service business that eventually gave birth to my current beauty brand â KEM (also known as Shop KEM or KEM Beauty). Thirteen years later, my passion remains unchanged, centered around building three things: product, community, and sales.
So, What is The 26th Collective?
When I first started my brand, I was searching for something like The 26th Collective. In 2017, I completed a Masterâs in International Business Management, hoping it would equip me with the tools to make sales and scale KEM. Spoiler alert: it didnât. Practical experience taught me far more than my degree ever could. Unfortunately, many business courses and consultancies are led by people whoâve never run a fully functioning, profitable business. Iâm here to change that. Iâm here to help you position your business properly and sell effectively.
Apparently, Iâm not supposed to use the word sales right away because itâs âtongue-in-cheek.â
But that mindset is part of whatâs holding the business community back. If People, Product and Sales arenât your top three priorities, then your business is no more than a passion project. And thatâs okay â if thatâs what you want. But if youâre here, Iâm guessing you want more.
