When you’re caught up with life, it’s easy to lose your sense of curiosity, yet learning can have many benefits. Encouraging curiosity & providing opportunities for women to learn is a key part of 261 Fearless. Here’s why! It improves brain health: Dopamine rewards in our brain surge when we discover something, creating new nerve pathways & maintaining old ones. Studies have linked higher levels of curiosity to lower levels of dementia It fosters growth: Learning new things is empowering, improving self-esteem & self-confidence. Curiosity at work improves performance. Curiosity at home leads to creativity & new hobbies It helps us keep up: Approaching new technology with curiosity can help it feel less threatening. Informing ourselves helps us keep up to avoid feeling out of touch It lets us pause: Curiosity often means a moment to stop, think and question. We might need to look something up, ask, or reflect It connects us: We can be curious about others and their beliefs & backgrounds, helping us form bonds. Genuinely curious people are often seen as warmer Here's what some Coaches from 261 Club UK said about how 261 helps them develop curiosity & continue learning: ‘The ongoing education offered by 261 Fearless has helped me remember I like learning & studying. I was never overly interested in further study after gaining my teaching degree but have found a renewed love of learning since joining the coaching team. Regular empowerment classes, weekly emails and opportunities offered by 261 have encouraged me to read further into topics covered in my own time and given me confidence to impart knowledge I've gained on group members.’ -Amy Russell ‘The extraordinary educational & social support I get has shown me how much I thrive on learning & developing myself and others. My curiosity is not a limitation but one of my greatest strengths.’ -Jo Ferguson ‘After years of not using my brain in this way, the ‘use it or lose it’ saying is so true. Like the rest of my ‘more mature’ body, it’s strengthening exercises, including those specifically for the brain, which bring me many benefits!’ -Kathy Wilcock Keep asking 'Why' & 'What if'. Be fearless. Be curious.

Running, Menopause, and Hope! Listen to our latest episode of In Fearless Conversation with Dr. Juliet McGrattan! What happens when running suddenly feels different and your body no longer responds the way it used to? In this episode of In Fearless Conversation, I sit down with physician, runner, and author Dr. Juliet McGrattan to talk openly about menopause, the evolving relationship women have with running through midlife and beyond, and her new book, The Runner's Guide to Menopause: Your Essential Toolkit for Strong, Happy, and Healthy Training. Juliet shares practical insight, expertise, and compassionate encouragement for runners navigating fatigue, shifting performance, hot flashes, confidence struggles, and more. Most importantly, this conversation is a reminder that menopause does not, and should not, mean the end of your running story. No matter where you are on your menopause journey, this episode offers reassurance, education, and hope. Listen wherever you get your podcasts or on YouTube. 🔗 Links in bio Learn more about her new book here: /us/runners-guide-to-menopause-9781399423854/ #261fearless #fearlesstogether #womenempowerwomen #womensempowerment #menopauseandrunning
