Very quickly tried out some artificial light out of curiosity. A continuous light with a warmer temperature set very low as I didn’t have much time and hadn’t tried this before. The ambient daylight in the studio was already bright and soft but I was curious to see what the addition of a warmer dim hard light would add.
I think it does look convincingly like a naturally occurring scenario but I want to try a version with the artificial light being more dominant - sort of a late afternoon/evening feel. Also the white balance difference between the cool ambient light and warm fresnel is significant.

100% natural light. Source would have been only skylights in a pitched attic roof and I think it was cloudy. She’s against the white side of a polyboard.
