大阪世博將結束，發覺身邊不少建築人趕在未來幾天參觀，在這我要再讚一下 Blue Ocean Dome，希望大家有機會搶到票- 一個好的展覽設計，有時候就要先打破我們太習以為常的經驗，再由最原始的基本步由零開始重組參觀者對主題的了解。 “… designed to intuitively understand water circulation and marine pollution... I believe that humanity’s future hinges on how seriously we consider the limits of capitalism and how we manage the sea as a vital commons (shared resource). Dome A：層壓竹材 // 原研哉的水循環裝置美炸 // 欣賞圓頂：比木結構更強、在許多城市還未有建築實例的複合層壓竹材 Dome B：碳纖維強化聚合物 CFRP // 令人驚艷、充滿傳染力有關海洋污染的影片 // 展館官方攝影的角度才能看到半空漂浮投影面超酷的立體幾何結構 Dome C：回收材紙管 // 作為收拾心情，了解展覽與研討的交流空間 // 喝了一杯料理研究者土井善晴設計的「海と山の超純水」，當時就口渴都沒細心留意其實分別是來自雪山的礦泉水和來自海洋的海鹽，但喝完幾個月還出奇地能想起那味道 . . . [ EXPO Architecture ] Women’s Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier by Yuko Nagayama 永山祐子 @yna_tokyo designed not only 1 pavilion in the Expo but 2. Some might know her design of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower ( #東急歌舞伎町タワー ) in Shinjuku more - a huge tower with interesting detailing of facade to keep the top edges soft and light. Enveloped with a re-used facade / frame structure from the 2020 Dubai Expo’s Japan Pavilion, the actual reflective-box pavilion inside turns very invisible shaded by the frame structure and surrounded with plants brought from different parts of Japan. This year we’d continue the long term photographic documentation with @brutalism_hk as part of an architectural research led by @bobpang725 Throwback to the [ Architecture Photograph of the Year Award + Public Vote Award ] "Sparking conversation about the juxtaposition between nature and man, this photograph forces us to reckon with the effect that we have had on the world around us," said the judges. "Deemed a metaphor for the current crumblings of society, the image tells a story through contrast - light and dark, technology and nature, evolution and decline," they continued. "Architecture is central to the image, but part of a much larger narrative that forces us to confront the state of the world that we inhabit."
