1. Create a “vibe guardrail” This is basically your request list. Make a short list of must-plays, genres you love, and songs you don’t want. Share it with your DJ so they know to stay within your style despite what is requested. 2. Set the boundaries early with a “DO NOT PLAY” List Decide ahead of time what’s a hard “no”…line dances, explicit songs, anything from that one artist you can’t stand. Your DJ will filter guest requests through your rules. 3. Designate a Request Captain(s) Pick one or two trusted friends/family members so guests don’t bombard you or the DJ. That person can filter requests, share the reasonable ones with your DJ, and protect the overall vibe. Come along with us for our Date Night in Downtown Norfolk. We started at Wick & Sip Candle Lounge making our own candles…such a fun experience and honestly just nice to slow down and enjoy time with each other. Good drinks, good vibes, and we actually left with the candles we made and named ourselves. I totally forgot my lid 😔 and clearly missed the instruction about not lighting my candle for 48 hours…lit it in less than 12 and lost a wick🙃…BUT it still smells amazing! Then we drove to Bonchon on Granby St, ordered enough for 4 people, and absolutely handled that food 😭 Maybe we should have eaten first 🤷🏾‍♀️ 10/10 night, would do it again (and maybe follow directions next time lol) Stay tuned for next month’s date night.
