Last weekโs GDSC event at Addis Ababa Science & Technology University (AASTU) was a glimpse to what our youth are capable of! Witnessing the dedication of the young leaders who organized this gathering was truly inspiring. Dr. Dereje Engida Woldemichael, AASTU president, showcased exceptional servant leadership, which made the event even more special.
The solutions developed by the software students were innovative and a glimpse into Ethiopiaโs bright future in tech. It was an honor to share the stage with my brothers Mirafe Gebriel Marcos, Addis Alemayehou, and Emre Varol. Together, we discussed on how to make a meaningful tech impact in Africa and driving change through innovation.
Itโs heartwarming and deeply humbling to hear from so many students that what Iโve done over the last 12 years with my TV program has inspired the next generation of Ethiopian tech leaders and entrepreneurs. Kudos to AASTU and GDSC AASTU for fueling the fire of change in Ethiopian and beyond!
