Today we lost a Kenpo Legend, Sifu Refugió Florse. I Can still remember the first time I met when I was a little kid he visited the Santa Paula studio to teach the adult classes. Sifu Refugió was super kind and nice with always had a little joke on the side. The contributions that he has placed to the Kenpo community Will live in forever. thank you Sifu Refugió for all the love and attention in which you have given to us all in the Flores Brothers and Kenpo community.
Sifu, became a black belt under Senior Grand Master Ed Parker, open up a martial arts studio with his brother Sifu Jesus Flores bring the Kenpo Karate Philosophys and teachings to Ventura County. He was also a 2 time kickboxing champion in 1979 and 1981 with a 23-2 professional record and is a part if the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame.
