My girlfriend of 8 years started cheating when I was undergoing removal of brain and spinal cord tumors. (The tumors were found after a hit and run in my first new truck.)From that surgery, I got bacterial meningitis, (brain infection) temporarily losing my eyesight.
The girl ended up getting pregnant with home boy, and he called me while I was blind to tell me she was his now. Also convinced me it was my baby that they just aborted.
The rear portion of my spine was removed, along with the muscles and tendons, and thrown away to gain access to my spinal cord.
I was never supposed to ride again, or see again for that matter.
I’ll never forget, I remember sitting in the hospital blind and telling the nurse how upset I was about never being able to ride again, and she told me I could pick up reading.
Anyway, I’m so thankful for these little moments.
