Here are some photos taken for 500 Global on their Demo Day at the Edmonton Convention Centre. Not going to lie, I’ve never done a project this size so I was a little stressed out. Luckily my friend Gabe who’s an amazing videographer and photographer sat me down and helped me with any questions I had. Then I had Damien help me with audio because I’ve never really had to mess around with remote audio before either and he saved my ass helping me clean some audio files that had a ton of noise. Chris also helped me take the photos on event day because I had to shoot video.
All in all, the clients were really happy with the videos and photos and I learnt a lot so that’s all that matters 🤝
The lesson here is to try and get yourself out of your comfort zone and most of the time you’ll make it happen while learning a ton or you’ll crash and burn but you’ll learn a ton too… 🙂
I got a dm on Friday night asking if I can do some family photos Sunday. Normally I’d say no because I like to take some time to find a location and prepare myself ahead but it was for a friend so why not.
Not going to lie, Emily Murphy park was not looking good. It was a gloomy Sunday day and all the colors were muted with summer around the corner. Normally autumn is the best time for outdoor family photos with the colors all popping out from the leaves. Needless to say we improvised with what we had and was pretty happy with the turnout given the short notice and gloomy weather !
