New zine for Festival of the Photocopier 2026! I got so excited finally managing to get the print to align (ish) that I forgot to write my name (or virtually anything) on it! Images are a meander through the streets captured on the false colour #Lomochrome film. I then though I'd be clever and make a complicated fold and had to battle the photocopier. They take ages to assemble so please if you see one in person, be so complimentary so I don't start questioning my choices*. Festival of the Photocopier is next weekend! Last night blew me away. Thanks to the many of you who came out to see this exhibition. There were so many moments when I was stood in a bit of shock at the volume of people who had shown up to witness our work and celebrate alongside us. I had so many beautiful conversations. Folks contributing their own readings of the work is such a precious exchange to me. We bring forth something, but then it gets to live on in the vision of others. Thank you for offering us that last night. A big thank you to the team at @galleria.crocodillo , especially Con who very bravely allowed so many of us to be present at install and allowed us to be as organic as we are when putting things into a space. I spent the majority of today installing an exhibition alongside some legends. It reminded me that this time 2 years ago, I went out to visit @_only__farms_ and @champion__ruby on the artfarm (is this name official yet or...) and got to hang out there with @angela.cornish.photo and @keirahudsonartist . I got halfway through this roll of film, then was distracted taking group tintypes beside the witch elm, watching the most unhinged tintypes be made of Temu nightmares and see lumin prints being made in the dam. It took me almost 2 years to get around to developing it. In that time I have learnt that knowing and being with these people has made my art better. Getting to work alongside people who are thoughtful and live their lives creatively has inspired me to try new things, learn new things, ask questions and get advise on the ideas that I have and where I could wander off with them. I am a better artist and person for having these connections. These friendships. And I hope for this for everyone. Zines of 2025 Recap! This is what 2025 looked like in zines for me. I am sorta shook when I see how much I managed to put together in a year that felt like I wasn't at my most focused/productive in the making department. While I love all of my children, I do have a couple favs: I have a soft spot for the Rocks zine. It's absurd format still makes me laugh, and rock collecting is in! (so says the @csirogram ).  Artists in Situations was community sourced so that is also lots and lots of fun and close to my heart. I can't wait to pull together vol. 2! I think Disassociating at the Zine Fair is going to be a staple for in person fair trades/gifting.  And finally Ode to Mediocre Pizza is one of those silly ideas that turned out even better than I had hoped. This year I would like my focus to be more on community building so I am likely to make less.. though I am also hoping to spend less time doomscrolling so maybe I will make use of all that recovered time?
