The Hangar is a Canadian based content & branding collective built by working directors, cinematographers, designers and operators who regularly produce commercial and brand work across Canada. We give brands and agencies a direct way to create quality content without unnecessary layers between the idea and the people making it. We operate as a single integrated partner. All members work out of one shared space, share infrastructure, and collaborate closely. @erniesdinerdeluxe @blackhousecinema @145designstudio @strangebrew.creative @seansdavidoff @peakfpv.media @crobinson_photo

A quick motion study of the brand identity we created with @foundry.physiotherapy exploring how the logo, type and colour system move and fit together. #branding #brandidentity #branddesign

All Day never hit production, but as a one-off design it gave us space to explore. Retro gradients and oversized type created a bright, approachable look, and showed how simple moves with type and color could shift the brand into something more energetic.

As a seasonal release, Cittadino had room for a more expressive treatment. We leaned into heritage cues with gold type and the Italian tricolore, keeping the layout clean but giving the beer a sense of place. The result is a design that feels classic and understated, aligned with the character of the style.

Showcasing some work we did with @citizenbrewingcompany here in Calgary. Their core line is built on a disciplined system of black type on white with the C shifting color from beer to beer, creating consistency across the lineup. Seasonals and one-offs gave us more freedom to experiment. For Señorita, that meant bold pattern and saturated color to match the style, standing apart while still feeling part of the Citizen family.

Your website should feel like your brand, not a template. We partnered with f-BLOK Architecture to weave their brand into the layout, interactions, and animations, so the site feels like the studio.

Not every website needs to be black text on a white page! Lean into some colour to keep your customers engaged, like f-BLOK does with their purple colour-BLOKs (see what we did there?) #webdev #webdesigner #uidesign #websitedesigner #webdesigncompany

Little details make a difference. On f-BLOK’s website we used subtle movement and curved elements to add a little playfulness into the user experience. Wondering if your website could use some design help? Hit us up for a website audit and we will come up with a game plan to keep your customers engaged and get them into your inbox. #webdesign #webdesigner #websitedesigner #yycdesign #wordpress

Small details go a long way. We pulled the smiley face from the logo and used it as a sticker. A simple way to keep things feeling considered.

Creating alternate logos helps a brand flex across different formats. For the takeout box, we reworked the layout to fit without losing the feel of the original.

Logo project for a friend starting a Taiwanese waffle cart. Jubjub is her daughter’s nickname, and she wanted something playful with smiley-face Üs. We kept it simple and styled so it felt fun without getting too cute.
