Opening the doors of Casa Conte, a project by @131design .
Nestled within Palazzo Melzi di Cusano, at 18 Via Monte Napoleone, amidst the pulsating heart of the Quadrilatero, @conte_casa exudes a neoclassical charm meticulously restored by 13.1 Architecture&Decor Studio of Filippo Fiora and Federico Sigali.
The creative duo also designed the setup, unveiling ATRIUM, a furniture collection exclusively created for Casa Conte.
ATRIUM born from an intimate exploration of the symbolic and emotional essence of living spaces, recalls the origins of living - a sign of the boundless creativity of the human spirit.
Each piece, a masterpiece in its own right, whispers tales of craftsmanship and devotion, embodying the funding spirit of 13.1 A&D and the timeless allure that defines Conte’s legacy.
In this harmonious union of past and present, ATRIUM unveils a story where style and elegance intertwine, weaving a tapestry of inspiration that transcends mere design - it is poetry in motion.

W słynnej dzielnicy mody Quadrilatero della moda w Mediolanie studio 13.1 Architecture & Decor @131design stworzyło mieszkanie o subtelnym męskim charakterze, w którym najważniejsza jest sztuka – pasja właściciela.
Zadaniem tej mediolańskiej pracowni było stworzenie nowej aranżacji zastanej przestrzeni bez naruszania jej struktury, bo plan był w porządku. „Potraktowaliśmy to wnętrze jak białe, czyste płótno, gotowe na przyjęcie nowych form”, opowiada Sigali. „Zachowaliśmy zastane podziały, podobnie jak parkiet, który jednak wycyklinowaliśmy i zmieniliśmy jego odcień. Było to raczej makijaż, restyling, który jednak głęboko zmienił atmosferę przestrzeni”, podkreślają projektanci.

ATRIUM is conceived as a deliberate oxymoron, where mass and lightness coexist in balance.
The monumental presence of the island and the wall composition expresses weight, solidity, and architectural depth.
At the same time, this gravity is softened by bespoke metal profiles, exclusively developed with together with SCIC Italia, framing mirrored surfaces that dissolve volumes, reflect space, and introduce transparency.
ATRIUM plays with perception: heavy yet light, solid yet elusive.
A system that uses mirror and structure as tools of mimesis, blending the kitchen into its surroundings and transforming function into architectural language. #131design
