👶🏻I wanted to make a reel for this baby doll pattern and realized I don’t have flannel fabric (I love to use it for the “clothes” of the doll) 🙈 so I tried curly knitted fabric and I love how it turned out!
👶🏼I applied lightweight fusible interfacing to both fabrics to manage the stretch and to thicken the cotton fabric.

I made a cotton Mini Darling mouse and I’m in love 😍 it’s more difficult than using Minky, and I’ll need to make additional instructions for how to make them out of cotton, it’ll be a bit tricky for beginners without guidance.
But if you have the Mini Darlings patterns you can totally make them out of cotton!
Tips:
✨add lightweight fusible interfacing to line the body fabric
✨use very very very short stitches and a good amount of tension
✨use a straw to help turn limbs right side out
✨use forceps to stuff limbs

Working at home with everyone around has it’s own magical vibe to it, so long as nobody needs me 🤭 = impossible if you’re a mom 😅
