If you see us posting something, you know it's B I G news... We'll host our first art exhibition, bringing our voices from the digital to the physical world (and from the MS Wissenschaft to Munich) ‼️
The exhibition “Between Everyday Life and Abnormality”, presented in collaboration with photographer Marius Koch @dude_loves_camera , opens its doors for two weekends in December (07. -08., 14.-15.) at the Feierwerk e.V. Farbenladen in Munich to explore the unique interplay of humour and reflection. Marius’ humorous works meet the voices of our project, “100 Voices – One Planet”, which highlights how the climate crisis transforms daily life into something unexpectedly absurd. Together, these perspectives create a compelling dialogue between the extraordinary and the everyday.

🌍💬 Meet Joy – Our Voice from Nigeria 🇳🇬🌱
Today, @adaclimate will speak alongside @fiore__sol at the @bundestag Subcommittee on International Climate Politics!
Based on her experiences in Lagos, Nigeria, she will be sharing the realities of how climate change is impacting her community. Rising sea levels are threatening coastal areas, while extreme heat, worsened by ozone depletion, is intensifying across the region.
On top of that, the proliferation of insects and food insecurity are devastating local communities, creating a chain reaction that affects the food supply and the overall well-being of the people in Lagos. 🌾 These challenges show the urgent need for solutions that recognize the diverse and interconnected ways climate change affects different regions.
Joy’s voice represents not only her community but countless others across the Global South who face these crises. Her insights on „Feminist Foreign Climate Politics – Perspectives from the Global South“ will highlight the human stories behind the statistics and bring much-needed attention to those on the frontlines of climate change. 🌱

Coming from a family who lives in the countryside in Colombia, Fiorella has experienced firsthand the devastating impacts of climate change on agriculture. Rural communities in her country are facing extreme weather conditions—droughts, floods, and unpredictable seasons that threaten their crops and livelihoods 🌾💧. Her family, like many others, is struggling with the worsening consequences of climate change, which are becoming more frequent and severe.
This opportunity for Fiorella to speak on „Feminist Foreign Climate Politics – Perspectives from the Global South“ is a powerful step toward inclusive policymaking where human stories shape global climate decisions. She brings a critical perspective to the Bundestag on how climate change is increasingly becoming a matter of survival for many in Colombia and beyond. 🌎

In @wissenschaftsjahr2024 - #Freiheit, the floating science center @mswissenschaft is touring through Germany again. In the belly of the converted cargo ship, science awaits you to touch and try out. On board, everything revolves around the huge concept of freedom and its many facets.
Experiment on free will, ask contemporary witnesses about exile, be challenged by AI or play pinballagainst social injustice. Admission is free, the exhibition is recommended for ages 12 and up.

👋 Many new members joined the project!
❗ We had the chance to participate in many exciting events from TEDxTUM to LCOY Germany!
🎬 We went to Heidelberg on our first trip to film for a documentary about our voices!
💼 Our Co-Founders Ophelia and Vanessa both started working full-time (resulting in this long break, life happens!)
Biiiig things are coming up in the next months: Next week Tuesday, 30 April, Ophelia will give a lightning talk on our initiative at the @feps_europe "Call to Europe - The Future is Social" conference in Brussels. And in 17 days, some of our voices will go on deck on the @mswissenschaft on the occasion of the Science Year 2024 - "Freedom"...
