Workshop 2: Kickflip! No, wait ... frames for the canvas🤩🖼️🎨! So, before the Painting Party, we had to host a second workshop! 🖌️✨
The second workshop built on the first one and focused on producing and finishing the participants’ textile projects. This was also the workshop where participants built frames from recycled wood. Afterwards, the textiles were mounted onto the frames, transforming leftover materials into new creative surfaces. 🌱🪵
The atmosphere echoed an earlier pilot project at 1000fryd in Aalborg: there was a lot of attention when we transported scrap wood from our sponsor Råt&Godt to the workshop at 1000fryd by cargo bike through Aalborg. The wood was used for the frames and upcycled into a new purpose. 🚲🌍
Pedestrians clapped and made cheeky comments as we passed by. When we arrived at the destination, we were welcomed with applause and great excitement, especially when it became clear how large the frames were going to be. 👏😄
Everyone helped hold and assemble the frames. Even though some participants were meeting each other for the first time, we acted like a well-oiled team throughout the process. 🤝✨

VOIDSPIRE (NO)
From the deep roots of the mountains in Norway dwells a group of individuals in search of the eternal oblivion. To guide them through this quest, they summoned the Voidspire. A dark force that spellbounds its witnesses.
With thunderous drums and harrowing shrieks, they compose the chants for the endless void in hopes of one day reaching their foretold destination.
Voidspire is a new death metal band from Oslo featuring members from Horrifier, Ruun, Blodkarsk and Celestial Scourge.

YOUTH CODE (US)
Youth Code is the creation of multi-instrumentalists Sara Taylor and Ryan George. Their sound perfectly captures the frustration and claustrophobia of the early 80s LA hardcore scene but re-appropriates that aggression, melding it to the strict, pounding electronics of classic industrial.
Melodic synth work, varied tempos, aggressive vocals, and EBM beats that feel like punches to the gut have earned the band a dedicated following in the current world of industrial music.
Youth Code were the first band unrelated to the legendary Psychic TV to be released on Genesis P-Orridge’s label Angry Love and they have since released on Dais Records and, most recently, Sumerian Records who issued their latest release “Yours, With Malice” (EP, 2025).

Wolves In The Throne Room is among the most defining acts in modern American black metal. Their music unites brutal intensity, nature mysticism and deep atmosphere in a universe that is as violent and beautiful as the wilderness surrounding their hometown of Olympia in the Pacific Northwest.
Their self-financed debut album Diadem of 12 Stars (2006) was discovered by the mythical metal label Southern Lord Recordings, who quickly reissued it. From there on, the story of Wolves In The Throne Room truly began, and they have since released six genre-defining full-length albums across Southern Lord, Relapse Records and their own label, Artemisia Records.

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU (US)
This Will Destroy You is an American instrumental band known for expansive, cinematic soundscapes that blur the lines between post-rock, ambient and doomgaze.
Since emerging from Texas in 2005 with the acclaimed Young Mountain EP, the group has built an international reputation for emotionally intense live performances and immersive records.
Albums such as This Will Destroy You, Tunnel Blanket and Another Language have cemented their place among the defining names in modern instrumental music.
