Articulation of full silicone body for Canadian film Violation I was Prosthetic designer on. Francois Dagenais (@mindwarpfx ) ended up being a producer and funding the body, he also built the amazing armature and that allowed the body to move properly in all the scenes it had to hold up for. I casted the silicone right into the lifecast molds and dropped the individual armatures in them, then pieced and seamed them together. I painted him and hair punched the hairline, brows and lashes. I worked day and night for 10 days straight from start to finish (not including lifecast) out of passion. Many people helped me out a day here and there, and with the time limit and my lack of sleep, they saved my ass @yetigord , @debbyatsmiletitans @beautiful_carnage @emmaleeartistry @kayla_arena_fx @lcarlos_figueroa Most important @mindwarpfx for letting me use his shop, taking this on with me, providing his skills, armature, knowledge and input along the way, helping me when needed This body was tricky because it had to be hung upside-down and have its throat slit with a self-contained blood rig built into the neck. It also had to sit upright in a chair to have its head get hit with a baseball bat, then lay flat and have one leg amputated on camera. Since it was nude, he required genitalia that was soft enough to flop in the right direction for each of these scenes. Diana 2 in full multi piece prosthetic makeup and full silicone suit and cowl on the Grace Glowicki for the Canadian Film HONEY BUNCH. Application by (@10.shock ) @mindwarpfx and assisted by @reckus . This is what she looks like under her wardrobe which was never fully seen. It is almost solid silicone except the arms which are hollow with beans in them to give weight and movement to look heavy. The legs were unpainted because they were never seen, but were also all silicone to look heavy. Diana 2 was an unsuccessful clone who couldn't walk and was on life support. She had Apert Syndrome, Dermatosparaxis, Ehlers-Danlos, Neurofibromatosis and Ectrodactyly. Putting all of these into one body was very challenging, especially since she need to talk and create some emotional scenes and wear oxagygen mask throughout. This was another film where I worked out of the love for the project for 3 months straights with everything there was to make. Full torso mastectomy makeup on @missipyle for the TV series Y The Last Man, back in 2021. Application done by @10.shock (myself) @mindwarpfx (Francois Dagenais) assisted by @traciloader All painting and blending to the skin done by me, but in the last 5 min @mindwarpfx jumped on to punch up to darken the scar because I was still finishing painting the torso and breast. Different phone cameras pick up different tones, none of these pictures are adjusted or touched up. This one was difficult because we never got a test day for something so big, and there is only limited time for this application. (It played 2 days total) Sculpt was beautifully done by the talented @sansom.sean under the direction of @mindwarpfx . I normally would never post a sculpt I wasn't part of. However, I wanted to show its complete size. (With the exception of 1 sculpter who came in for a few days and the shop owner/ business partner who let me do this out of his shop.) FAKE HEAD and torso we made to be set on fire for Chucky season 3. Nearly everything I work on gets destroyed. Sometimes there isn't enough time to take a video, or good photos before you rush to set and watch it get torn apart in front of you...and it is a beautiful feeling. There are times I'm in the trailer finishing the last hairs or paint details, and not even 10 min later it could be getting exploded, cut in half, stabbed 100 times in the face, or set on fire. I could be working for weeks on end, day and night, just on one thing, but knowing it will be destroyed will never stop me from trying to do the best job I can within the super short Canadian TV Series timelines we're given. I have read so many comments lately of people saying "I can't believe you destroyed it" (Previous head posted.) But it served its purpose. It's never about the final outcome. It's the process of making something new and different, it's making sure it works correctly and better than the last time, for whatever it needs to do. Right behind the process of building it, my favourite part is seeing or taking part in destroying it. Detachment and the ability to let go is a beautiful thing. FAKE HEAD for Chucky Season 3 made @mindwarpfx This head had to be rigged differently to move than the usual way @mindwarpfx normally does it. We had to be 20 feet away because of the fire safety and couldn't use the normal housing and bicycle cables in case it would melt under the flames. This isn't ideal to achieve a smoth movement, and it was challenging for Francois using steel braided cables and clothesline pullies. This is just the test before fire I (@10.shock ) painted, hairpunched, made the eyes and possibly cored and seamed also... my memory is failing. Detail pictures of the FAKE HEAD I (@10.shock ) hair punched, painted, seamed and casted of Tian-chen from the tv series FROM Season 3 for @mindwarpfx @mindwarpfx wanted to work straight out of the lifecast but also drop an articulated skull while casting the silicone. This was so when her body was lifted, her mouth would naturally drop open. The skull was tricky to drop in the correct place since we were working out of the lifecast. The silicone needed to be firm enough to hold its integrity in the natural position, yet soft enough to stretch open without tearing. The video isn't very good because I'm filming myself while trying to showcase the movement. Extra time for pictures and videos on this one was not something I had.
