Whilst creating my 2022 vision board for personal growth and development I decided to go back to business school. I thought my MBA from Coventry acquired in 2012 had become stale and I needed something fresh. It was very important to me that I study in Africa because there were days when the lessons from my MBA seemed impractical seeing as all our case studies were based on businesses operating in western countries. I needed something close to home! After conducting my research LBS Nigeria seemed like the best business school in Africa with access to practical lessons from the best faculties, facility managers and CEOs operating in this peculiar African market. In March, I enrolled for the Owner Manager Program (OMP35) which was highly recommended by 2 of my top clients at TUBO who are considered one of the most successful people in their respectful industries, one in oil and gas and the other hospitality.
It wasn’t exactly an easy journey, waking up early and traveling to and fro Epe in that gruesome traffic was enough reason to call it quits but it was well worth it.
I’m so grateful to the TUBO Team for holding it down, following standard procedures and satisfying clients in my absence whilst I brought back transferable knowledge to the team.
Thankful for family and friends for the endless support and of course grateful for my new family at LBS Alumni.
Next stop - Havard!
