Some details: The statue is 26cm tall. The skull already existed as I sadly didn't have the time to make it myself. I 3D scanned it using the free photogrammetry software Meshroom and sent it over to Blender wizard
@niklas.shots to fit it into the cup. I then printed the parts separately in resin and applied faux gold leaf (brass) onto it, which probably took the longest. The malachite rings were made with FIMO (polymer clay) and then baked in little cups I printed with heat-resistant filament. Then a lot of sanding and finally 3 clear coats of varnish.
The project took longer than I had anticipated but I'm very happy with the results. And it's for a good cause, too!
