At the crack of dawn last Thursday, over 100 young minds from almost 20 of Lagos’ top secondary schools readied themselves to be inspired by fashion industry veterans and stakeholders at our inaugural “Bridging The Gap” conference and deliver, the event surely did!!! 💫
Following the curated presentation by
@tejumolamd on a brief history of Africa and Fashion, the shaping of the future for young minds, we had the iconic
@emmykasbit duo sharing how they got their ironic start, to the impeccably fabulous
@lisafolawiyo regaling us on the power of collaboration to
@ibquake inspiring us to dream of a better tomorrow for Africa with her spoken word, there was a palpable 🔥energy in the air by our most energetic MC
@drfoy !
By the time the afternoon rolled around, we’d dare say most of the students were not ready to leave. The Exhibition Gallery prepared by the effervescent
@thefashionedmuseum team left mouths buzzing and tails wagging. There was so much to learn, so many stories to tell and so many minds to shape. But all things must eventually come to an end, and there was no one better than our amiable governor Jidesanwoolu , able represented by his Special Adviser, Culture and Tourism, Honorable Idris Aregbe to end the program with a charge that Lagos was indeed open for business and specially interested in cultural interventions like ours.
That why we are here! And we can’t wait to take you on this journey with us. Love and light! 💗💕💗
