Yinka Ogun is a Nigerian screenwriter, filmmaker, and a central architect of modern Nollywood narratives.
He is well-known as the creator or co-creator of major series like Tinsel (M-Net’s flagship soap opera) and Daddy's Girls. He has served in various top-tier writing capacities, including as head writer for Life 101 and co-writer for The Governor.
His writing credit includes major box-office hits and high-profile Netflix Originals, including: The Royal Hibiscus Hotel (2017), Your Excellency (2019),
and Òlòtūré (2020).
Ogun is currently the President of the Screen Writers Guild of Nigeria (SWGN), where he plays a crucial role in overseeing the affairs of Nollywood screenwriters, and protecting their interests.
