Cleveland-Cliffs hosted Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su and Assistant Secretary for Mine Health and Safety Chris Williamson at its Tilden Mine in Negaunee MI.
After taking a tour of the open-pit iron ore mine, the visitors joined Chief Operating Officer Cliff Smith, Chief Financial Officer Celso Goncalves, union and business leaders, mine workers, and safety experts for a roundtable discussion on how federal investments and policies promote "Made In America" products and good jobs in U.S. manufacturers’ steel supply chains. During the roundtable, participants discussed the essential contributions of Michigan miners to the U.S. manufacturing economy.
Funny how we don’t brag about the 6 plants the company has temporarily closed in the last few months.Praising the current administration on how great they are and laying off workers at the same time. Loser’s idea of winning. New CEO immediately.
