We are thrilled to join forces with
@sarahpageharp to premiere a live version of her 2023 studio album Voda, featuring Pagé on harp & electronics alongside Jonah Fortune on bass,
@ben_macrophone in vielle-à-roue,
@danielanez on ondes Martenot,
@noambierstone on percussion, and Nika Stein on vocals.
Voda was created as a series of musical tableaux which were interpretations of Nika Stein’s solo dance work Voda-Eau-Water - an exploration of the depths of the subconscious in which water serves as a metaphor for exploring themes of birth, death, and re-birth. This performance uses an expansive and unique textural palette to flow between composition and guided improvisation, re-interpreting several movements of the original piece as well as entirely new ones.
