Nigeria is strengthening its partnership with WHO to drive measurable impact across the health sector.
Yesterday, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, received the WHO Nigeria Programme Budget Workplan for 2026–2027, a results-driven framework aligned with Nigeria’s health priorities and focused on:
✅ Primary Health Care & Universal Health Coverage
✅ Routine Immunization & Polio Transition
✅ Health Security & IHR Capacity
✅ Quality & Equity in Healthcare
✅ Digital Health Systems Strengthening
The engagement also highlighted preparations for the 79th World Health Assembly and the upcoming 5th High-Level Ministerial Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance in Abuja.
Together, Nigeria and WHO continue to advance a stronger, more accountable, and people-centered health system for all Nigerians.
