Standing on the Lagos fashion week runway has never been just about a collection - it’s always been about evolution. This platform witnessed the early chapters of Emmy Kasbit. It’s where my voice as a creative evolved, where my work was first seen and championed on a pan African stage.
I remember when I first showed at Lagos fashion week, standing backstage watching the lights hit the runway and thinking, “This is where possibility begins. I was nervous and hopeful - carrying more dreams than resources, but certain that I had a story worth telling.
To be opening this season is more than an honor - it’s a moment of reflection, gratitude and responsibility. A celebration of community, culture and the fashion eco system that continues to nurture emerging and established designers.
Congratulations
