Joint mobilization of the elbow has been shown to decrease pain and improve functional grip in clients with lateral elbow pain. Although there are many treatment approaches for lateral tendinopathy, we are focusing on some preferred elbow joint mobilization techniques, which we have found helpful. Only therapists with appropriate training should perform manual mobilization techniques. Neck and shoulder pain is usually the result of strains and sprains from overexertion or bad posture. Sometimes this pain will go away on its own. Stretching and strengthening exercises can also treat the pain Neck and shoulder pain can be classified in many different ways. Some people experience only neck pain or only shoulder pain, while others experience pain in both areas. What Causes Neck Pain? Causes of neck pain include: Abnormalities in the bone or joints Trauma Poor posture Degenerative diseases Tumors Muscle strain Strains from overexertion Tendonitis from overuse Shoulder joint instability Dislocation Collar or upper arm bone fractures Frozen shoulder Pinched nerves (also called radiculopathy) How Are Neck and Shoulder Pain Diagnosed? X-rays: Plain X-rays can reveal narrowing of the space between two spinal bones, arthritis-like diseases, tumors, slipped discs, narrowing of the spinal canal, fractures and instability of the spinal column. MRI: Magnetic resonance imaging is a noninvasive procedure that can reveal the detail of neural (nerve-related) elements, as well as problems with the tendons and ligaments. Myelography/CT scanning: This is sometimes used as an alternative to MRI. Electrodiagnostic studies: Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) are sometimes used to diagnose neck and shoulder pain, arm pain, numbness and tingling. When did you last admit to not knowing something? Having quick, confident answers is a hallmark of strength and leadership. As a leader, you should have all the answers, right? Wrong. Intelligence is not measured by knowing oodles of facts and figures. It is derived from your judgment and reasoning ability. Life is too short. The longer you pretend to know everything, the longer you stay in the dark! Learning by doing is the simple idea that we are capable of learning more about something when we perform the action #privatepersonaltrainer1 #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise

The latissimus dorsi muscles, known as the lats, are the large V-shaped muscles that connect your arms to your vertebral column. They help protect and stabilize your spine while providing shoulder and back strength. Your lats also help with shoulder and arm movement and support good posture. Strengthening and stretching your lats is essential in building upper-body strength, improving range of motion, and preventing injury. Latissmus dorsi (lats)is a climbing muscle. With the arms fixed above the head, it can raise the trunk upwards, together with the help of pectoralis major. It is an important muscle in rowing, swimming (especially during the downstroke) and chopping. The muscle is also active in violent expiration, as it attaches to the ribs. During a cough or sneeze, the muscle can be felt pressing forcibly inward, as it acts to compress the thorax and abdomen. The muscle assists in holding the scapula against the thorax during upper limb movements. The attachment of the muscle to the inferior angle of the scapula allows this. You can avoid latissimus dorsi pain by taking a few preventive steps, especially if you regularly exercise or play sports: Maintain good posture and avoid slouching. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, especially before and after exercising. Get an occasional massage to loosen any tightness in your back and shoulders. Make sure you properly stretch and warm up before exercising or playing sports. Apply a heating pad before working out. Do cool-down exercises after working out. #privatepersonaltrainer1 #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise

Weight loss is simple, right? Eat less, exercise more, and voilà The pounds melt away.Unfortunately it’s not always that easy. While a low 1200- to 1500-cal. diet works for many people, the no. of cal u need depends on ur weight, height, age, gender, and activity level. If exercise drains a big chunk of the calories u’re eating and there aren’t enough left to fuel ur body’s day-to-day processes—a condition known as low energy availability—ur body may think it’s starving and go into conservation mode. “You don’t want to restrict ur diet to the extent u’re left with too few calories to fuel ur body to work properly,” “You’ll just end up damaging ur metabolism, which can mean u’re unable to lose weight, and possibly causing other wide-reaching effects on ur body and health.” Increasing ur calorie intake to lose weight may seem counterintuitive—scary even—but in order to get leaner and stronger, u’ll want to decrease ur body fat while maintaining or building lean muscle. To do this, aim for a calorie target that’s around 500 calories less than the calories you need to maintain ur current weight. If someone has been following a strict diet for years,it can take longer to restore their metabolism to its full Avoid skipping meals 1.Eat enough protein throughout the day 2.Eat plenty of whole fruits, vegetables, and grains 3.Include low-fat dairy, legumes, lean meats 4.Rehydrate properly after hard training sessions 5.Limit sweetened beverages When u step on a scale and can see that ur weight isn’t increasing, slowly add more calories until ur body starts losing fat and maintaining or even gaining muscle This is ur sweet spot—the new calorie goal u should aim for each day It can seem terrifying to eat more, but rest assured, not only will ur metabolism get the kick it needs to jumpstart ur weight loss again, ur body could also end up shedding more fat and hanging onto precious muscle, which in the long run will help keep u strong and help encourage the weight to stay away. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #lik

Golfer’s elbow is a form of tendonitis that causes pain and inflammation in the tendons that connect the forearm to the elbow. The pain centers on the bony bump on the inside of your elbow and may radiate into the forearm. The medical term is medial epicondylitis. Golfer’s elbow isn’t as well-known as tennis elbow. While both are forms of elbow tendinitis, tennis elbow stems from damage to tendons on the outside of the elbow, while golfer&#039 ;s elbow is caused by tendons on the inside. Golfer’s elbow is less common. If you have golfer’s elbow, you might have: 1. Stiffness in your elbow 2. Tenderness and pain, usually on the inner side of your elbow or the inner side of your forearm, but you could have pain with certain movements, like making a fist or swinging a golf club. 3. Tingling or numbness in your fingers (usually the ring and little fingers) 4. Weakness in your hands and wrists Despite the name, this condition doesn’t just affect golfers. Any hand, wrist, or forearm motions that you do often can lead to golfer’s elbow. Things that can lead to golfer’s elbow besides golfing include 1. Sports that use a racket, like tennis. 2. Sports that rely on lots of throwing movements, like archery, baseball, bowling, football, javelin throwing, and softball. 3. Repetitive movements 4. Weight training Most of the time, golfer’s elbow will go away without any special treatment. But you should manage it like any other overuse injury: Apply ice to your elbow for 15 to 20 minutes 3 or 4 times per day. Rest the injured elbow from aggravating activities For pain, your doctor may recommend an oral NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) like aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen to reduce pain and swelling. A topical medication may help, as well. You may also get an injection of a corticosteroid or painkiller (like lidocaine) in the elbow. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #reelsvideo

Leading a sedentary lifestyle can make us vulnerable to frequent bouts of acidity and gas. At the times when acidity and gas get severe, people experience pain, bloating, and tightness of the stomach. Some might complain of nagging headaches too. Acidity and gas can manifest themselves as acute pain in the middle of the chest. Acidity also leads to burping and acid reflux in the esophagus. These problems are caused mostly by irregular food timings and regular intake of tea and coffee on an empty stomach. 1) When you eat an oil-rich meal late at night, it leads to severe acidity and gas in the morning. So, clearly avoid foods that are rich in fats like gravy. 2) Skipping breakfast is a common cause of acidity. In case you rush out in the morning without having breakfast, it can result in the acid build-up in the second half of the day. 3) Having several cups of strong tea or coffee in the morning, especially on an empty stomach, can have adverse effects such as acidity, gas and weight gain. 4) When we eat incompatible food combinations, the food ferments in the stomach and the undigested food particles can lead to acidity and gas. How can we control Acidity and Gas? 1) Kick out heavy dals such as rajma, chana, and deep-fried foods from your dinner plate. 2) Drink a glass of lukewarm water after you wake up. 3) Take two tablespoons of aloe vera juice on an empty stomach. 4) Instead of skipping breakfast, have a light breakfast that includes Sprouts, egg whites or steamed Idli 5) Avoid milk in case you are lactose-intolerant. 6) Eat a banana if you feel like acidity is building up in your stomach. 7) Avoid dairy products in the morning, especially tea with milk. 8) Natural herbs that control gas include hing, ajwain, and salt. These can be taken in very small quantities. #fitness #gym #workout #fitnessmotivation #fit #motivation #bodybuilding #training #love #health #lifestyle #instagood #fitfam #healthylifestyle #sport #healthy #gymlife #instagram #follow #like #personaltrainer #crossfit #fashion #bhfyp #life #muscle #gymmotivation #fitnessmodel #exercise #eatclean
