Stromboli, off Sicily, the last of the Aeolian Islands. Black sand and volcanic stone beaches. In the evening, no public lighting, only moonlight and flashlights. The volcano that towers above it all, its top constantly surrounded by a plume of smoke that lights up red at night. Après les fleurs is a photobook about fragility, the ephemeral and the unpredictable beauty that appears in a world in crisis.
