At King’s Day, on November 15th, the Belgian Embassy in Seoul screened the documentary « Crossed Destinies » directed by Thierry Loreau.
The film unveils the inspiring and poignant stories and encounters of five Belgian-Korean personalities who have contributed significantly to a better understanding between the Belgian and Korean peoples:
* Dr. Marie-Hélène Brasseur (Director of Jeon Jin Sang Hospital dedicated to the most vulnerable ). We visited her hospital
* The late Father-entrepreneur Didier t’Serstevens ( Priest, social worker, Introducer of cheese to Korea and Human rights activist)
* Julian Quintart (Influencer, DJ, actor, climate activist, vegan ). My lovely son
* Mrs. Cathy Min Jung (Director of Le Rideau de Bruxelles)
* Mr. Degeimbre Sang Hoon (Chef of « L’air du temps », two Michelin stars). We enjoyed a vegan family dinner in his restaurant.
Those personalities embody the values that bind our nations: generosity and unwavering solidarity, commitment, lasting friendship, profound respect, creative and entrepreneurial spirit. The documentary will be broadcast on the national TV (RTBF) in Belgium on Friday December 15th 2023 at 22.05, followed by several screenings in Korea in 2024.
