Xander, meeting you gave me permission, that I sought in myself to get out and explore. Being with you feels like home, and it is the best idea. In small, petite buildings or towering buildings, every day feels brand new and every adventure feels like something I need to do. I used to want to stay cooped up in my room, but you got me out to explore. You forced me to think about things that I never wanted to think about before, and you encourage me to learn. I’ve never been in a space where there were no distractions, no other place that I wanted to be than right with you. As much as you annoy me, you are the only person I care to see as much as I do when I travel with you. I learn new pieces of myself as I learn with you. I learn how to better love myself, and for this, I thank you. I thank you for being able to be my voice when I can’t talk, my limbs when I can’t walk, and my heart when I don’t feel like I have anything left to give. I love you more than I think I’ve ever loved another human being, and the thought of one day without you, no matter how mad I am, sends me up a wall. So when friends ask me where my home is, I will gladly say your name.
