So today I turn 60. WOOHOO.
When I turned 50, life wasn’t a happy place. There was a lot of stress and a lot of sadness. I was constantly anxious and focused on looking after everyone else but myself.
But at 60, I FEEL GREAT. How awesome is that!
Most importantly, I’m lucky to have lots of people around me that love me, even though I’m CRAP at keeping in contact. I’m more introvert than extrovert as I get older, which I happily embrace but it is hard for my friends and family. Sorry about that. I hope you understand.
I’ve been working hard at keeping fit, strong and healthy, and I can’t remember being in better form, full of energy and as injury-free in my whole life. I need to thank my coach Shane Maher at The Athlete’s Academy. We’ve worked together for over two years now and I’ve never felt better. And I have lats. I’m so grateful!

I asked my friend Dylan to take some pics of me to record where I am at 60. I walked into his studio and listed all my flaws. And then scowled a lot. I’m not as comfortable in front of the camera as I am behind it. You are a miracle worker and true artist. Thanks Dylan.

My aim is to see where I can take it, rather than seeing this is the end point of this fitness adventure now I’ve reached this milestone.
But this week… I’m eating my body weight in cake. Soz Shane
