Two years ago, I closed a 24-year chapter of service—and opened a brand new one.
I don’t miss those 4-hour daily commutes, deployments, the 24/7 on-call duty for food and product recalls, or the “other duties as assigned” that came without warning. But I do carry the lessons, the discipline, and the pride that came with every single day in uniform.
Grateful for where I’ve been, and even more grateful for where I am now. Here’s to growth, peace, and the freedom to write this next chapter on my own terms.
