The first necessity in any inquiry is a careful definition of terms: what is, and what is not, a PRESENCE?
By modern society, presence often means visibility—how much you are seen, noticed, followed, or validated. It’s tied to attention, image, and outward influence.
By traditional society, presence leans more toward dignity and conduct—how you carry yourself, the respect you command, your values, and the quiet authority you hold in a space.
Hence, my own view (inspired by my portrait), presence feels deeper than both. It’s not just being seen or respected—it’s being felt without trying. A calm confidence, inner peace, and authenticity that speaks before words do. It’s the kind of presence that doesn’t demand attention but naturally draws it.
