London, switched...
At the request of my good friend Gus Pirelli a couple of weeks ago I went out on a little architectural tour of London to try out a new film type HARMAN SWITCH AZURE.
Released in March of 206 Harman Technology have just released a colour negative 35mm film that in their own words "flips colours to render scenes in surreal, high-contrast tones, renders blues as orange, yellows as vibrant azure, and reds as purple-blue”
Wandering through the capital with a roll of colour chaos in my camera. Buildings became something else entirely... pinky- orange skies over grey, brutalist blocks and familiar land marks, glowing like scenes from a forgotten sci-fi film.
What I love about this stock is how it transforms the ordinary into the uncanny. London’s hard edges, raw textures and monumental architecture suddenly feel playful, surreal and strangely futuristic.
From post-war concrete icons to everyday corners, the city becomes a dreamscape when the colours are turned upside down.
