It reveals the vertical movement, its separate minute and hour sub-dials, the double-axis, flying tourbillon and the floating seconds ring. They all spin 360 degrees in 60 seconds. What it doesn't reveal is the intricacies of a 552-component movement with high-frequency constant force. What is a régulateur? A régulateur is a timepiece where the hours, minutes and seconds are displayed separately. Régulateurs are 19th century clocks designed as reference timekeepers for the first large industrial workshops. Every watchmaker needed to see clearly what time it was, even from afar. Their dials split the hours, minutes and seconds in three different locations. That made their reading easier.
